The full curriculum has three distinct modules (Women’s Basic Pistol\, Women’s Intermediate Pistol\, and Women’s Defensive Pistol). It’s designed to reach students who are brand new to firearms and those who are ready to learn more about defensive shooting. This three-hour clinic is an abbreviated version of Level 3 only (Women’s Defensive Pistol). The full curriculum has three distinct modules (Women’s Basic Pistol\, Women’s Intermediate Pistol\, and Women’s Defensive Pistol). It’s designed to reach students who are brand new to firearms and those who are ready to learn more about defensive shooting. This four-hour clinic is Level 3 only (Women’s Defensive Pistol). Our Women’s Concealed Carry class helps ladies identify and employ safe\, reliable\, and comfortable handgun carry methods that fit their lifestyles. In the classroom segment\, we’ll explore different concealment options and discuss the practical strengths and weaknesses of each. In the live-fire segment\, we’ll teach women how to present a concealed handgun on demand without sacrificing the marksmanship fundamentals they learned in their handgun carry permit class. \nTopics we’ll cover (time permitting): \n\nSafety\, safety\, safety!\nFundamentals of marksmanship (quick review)\nThe four-count draw (starting with dry work and progressing to live-fire)\nSafe re-holstering\nOpen carry versus concealed carry\nClosed-front and open-front concealment garments\nOn-body carry (hip/appendix/ankle holsters\, belly bands\, compression undergarments\, etc.) versus off-body carry (purses\, briefcases\, etc.)\nHolster selection (common options\, samples\, demos\, and pros/cons of each)\nSimple holster modifications to improve fit\, speed\, comfort\, and security\nCarrying with restrictive or fitted clothing\nSecuring firearms in non-permissive environments\nPractical considerations for ladies who carry\n\nLadies will need to bring their own handgun and holster. It’s a great curriculum for women who have been exposed to marksmanship fundamentals but have little or no practice with holster work. It’s also great for women who are largely self-taught and want a more formal template for practicing their handgun presentation from concealment. \nRegardless of prior experience\, this is a perfect opportunity for lots of practice repetitions under the watchful eyes of several experienced instructors who can offer useful\, individualized tips for improving your efficiency and consistency when working a holster.
