To attend\, one should have first graduated from Rangemaster’s Combative Pistol Course or Instructor Development Course\, or a course at Gunsite or Thunder Ranch or equivalent\, or a course with a competent migrant trainer. One requirement for renewal of an armed guard license is 4 hours of training. It is an intensive weekend course that covers all the essential skills required for fighting with a handgun. This course will provide details on what behaviors to look for and the proper steps to prevent an active shooter incident. You will also learn how to make educated life-saving decisions regarding which actions to take during an active shooter incident. \nCOURSE OBJECTIVES  \n\nThe proper modes of response during an active shooter incident\nGain better understanding of Active Shooter incidents \nKnow the definition of an Active Shooter \nGain understanding how these events affect businesses\, schools and places of worship\nGet better at recognizing potential workplace violence indicators \nLearn how to respond when law enforcement arrives \nDescribe actions to take to prevent and prepare for potential active shooter incidents \n\nClass prerequisites: Completion of a state handgun carry permit class or other comparative pistol shooting class. One requirement for renewal of an armed guard license is 4 hours of training. This 4-hour course satisfies the training requirement imposed by Tenn.
