Intro to AR Part 1

New to the AR rifle? Want to better understand how the rifle operates and how to maintain it? On Target Shooting Sports designed this two part class to help you better know and use your AR pattern rifle.
Please note that this is an On Target Shooting Sports class. This class will not be taught at or by Citizens Safety Academy. CSA has a close working relationship with On Target. Several of our CSA instructors also work at On Target, including Ryan McCann, Tiffany Warner, and Chris Norville (who serves as the Director of Training at On Target). So, CSA occasionally posts On Target classes here. We highly recommend On Target’s courses, and we hope you enjoy training with Chris and his team!
The first part of the class covers the basic function of the rifle. We will cover disassembly, reassembly, and cleaning. We will also cover some of the accessories available for the rifle, such as slings and lights, and how to mount them.
There are no prerequisites to take this class. It is designed for people who have little or no experience with the AR or people who just want a refresher.
For AR part 1, you do not need to bring anything. The class is all classroom.
