CSA is headed to the Sooner State to train eager students in the Basics of Pistol Shooting! This course is open to all individuals interested in gaining or refining their knowledge of the fundamentals, regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. This is the traditional, instructor-led course where students will receive direct instruction from NRA-certified instructors from beginning to end. Interactive classroom instruction will take place at the wonderful Oklahoma City Gun Club (OKCGC), a comfortable facility in Arcadia, OK (just outside of Oklahoma City). The outdoor live-fire range is conveniently located on the same grounds.

This is an 8-hour course that includes classroom modules and live-fire modules. Interactive classroom instruction will take place in a comfortable classroom at the Oklahoma City Gun Club in Arcadia, Oklahoma. Live-fire lessons will be conducted on a convenient outdoor range at the same facility. Some of the topics in the course include:
- gun safety rules
- proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols
- ammunition knowledge and selection
- selecting and storing a pistol
- fundamentals of marksmanship
- pistol inspection and maintenance
Students will need a reliable pistol and approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Loaner pistols are available if necessary, and students may purchase ammo from CSA with advance notice. The course concludes with a written exam and a shooting qualification drill to reinforce the instructional content. But don’t worry; our patient instructors will be there to assist students every step of the way in a comfortable, non-intimidating environment.
