NRA Range Safety Officer Course (Memphis, TN)

The NRA Basic Range Safety Officer Course teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. This is an interactive course that includes practical exercises designed to help participants develop effective techniques for safety enforcement on a shooting range.
Course topics include:
- roles and responsibilities of an RSO
- Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- range inspection
- range rules
- range briefings
- emergency procedures
- firearm stoppages and malfunctions
- and much more!
Each Range Safety Officer candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide and other informational materials for reference. The course concludes with a written exam. The NRA RSO certification is an excellent first-step in earning the experience, training, and credentials required to supervise indoor or outdoor shooting range operations and maximize safety for all involved.

There are no prerequisites for this course, but all attendees should be experienced shooters and should have a solid working knowledge of general firearm safety principles.
This is a non-shooting course, so all you will need is an open mind, a positive attitude, and note-taking materials. All attendees should also have a solid working knowledge of general firearm safety principles.
